1st Year Admission 2014 - 2015

Online Admission for the information regarding Admission to 1st year classes in BCOM(Hons), BCOM(Gen), BA(Hons) in Bengali, BA(Hons) in English & BA General will be open from 3rd June 2014 to 23rd June 2014 till 5:00 P.M.

1st Provisional Merit List will be published on 26th June 2014 at 2 p.m.

Date of Documents verification & Admission 30th June, 1st July & 2nd July 2014 from 11:00 A.M.

1st Year Classes shall commence on and from last Week of July, 2014.

The College invites application in the prescribed form which is available in the college website www.agcbosecollege.org

The candidates are asked to submit the Admission Form online and follow the instruction for Form Submission. The admission is open to both Male & Female students.

Instructions for Admission Form Submission

• Online Application Forms are available in the following Courses:
  B.COM (Hons. & General), B.A.(Hons.) in Bengali, B.A. (Hons.) in English and B.A (General).


• After Submitting the Online Form in any stream, the candidates are asked to follow the following instructions:

  Sl No	Instructions
  1	An application fee of Rs. 100 is to be deposited at any branches of  "Bank of Baroda" in West Bengalwithin 2 days from the date of Online Form Submission failing which the Form will not be accepted. The Online Form will be accepted and registered by the College only after the College receives the original Bank Receipt regarding the payment made by the candidate.
  2	After submission of Form the candidate must take a printout the Application Form(2 pages)alongwith the Bank Receipt 1(One page):Total 3(Three) pages.
  3	Out of this 04(four) parts of Bank Receipt, two will be kept by the Bank and the Candidate will keep other two counterparts duly sealed & signed by the Bank Authority.
  4	At the time of Form verification, if his/her name appear in the provisional Merit List,the printout of the application form alongwith the Bank payment Receipt must be produced at the time of admission.
  5	Form Submission On-line : From 3rd - 23rd June 2014.
  6	If you already registered, you can check the form status following the link, Application Form Status and enter the Form Id to the specific field and click on submit button.
  7	Date of publication of Provisional Merit List on the website as well as in College Notice Board, 26-06-2014 at 2 p.m..
  8	Date of Documents Verification & Admission: 30th June, 1st and 2nd July 2014.
  9	DO NOT try to submitt the form 2nd times, if you already registered your Form in the same Course/stream and category.

Admission Criteria for online Form Submision

Best of Four passed Subjects will be considered excluding Compulsory Environmental Education/Studies for calculating aggregate.

Eligibility Criteria for online Form Submision

• The College admits a limited number of students who have passed Higher Secondary (10+2) Examination or its equivalent Examination in the year 2014. The candidate is eligible to seek admission to the 1st year of 3yr B.Com. (Hons. & General) and B.A. (Hons. & General) Courses of Studies provided he/she has also passed in English having Full Marks of not less than 100 and subject to fulfillment of other conditions as laid down in the University Notification No.-CSR/54/09 dated-24-11-2009 followed by the relevant amendments (vide Notification Nos. CSR/98/2010 dated 26.08.2010 for B.Com(Honours/General) Courses of Studies.


• While calculating the aggregate of Marks of a candidate, best of Four Passed Subjects is to be considered excluding Compulsory Environmental Education/Studies.


• Students passed Patrachar / Correspondence Courses / Open School are not eligible for Admission to the courses offered by the college.

Necessary Documents

• Original Admit Card for Secondary or Equivalent Examination for verification of Age Proof.
• Passport / Stamp Size Colour Photographs – 2 (Two)
• Mark sheet of H.S.(10+2) / or Equivalent Examination-2014
• OBC-A / OBC-B.certificate in the name of the candidate to be produced, at the time of Form Verification/Submission, if applicable.
• SC/ST certificate in the name of the candidate for Reserve Category Seats, if applicable, from Competent Authority at the time of form verification/Submission otherwise the Application Form will be rejected.
• Attested copies of (1), (3), (4) & (5)

General Information Regarding Admission

• The applicants are advised to read the Admission Notification carefully and satisfy themselves that they are eligible for admission to the Courses for which they have applied.
• If the College Admission sub-committee finds at any stage that the candidate does not satisfy the eligibility criterion or that the information given by the candidate is incorrect or suppressed, the admission will be cancelled for which the College will not be liable to furnish any reason.
• If the students take admission inadvertently, their admission will be cancelled subsequently and fees paid will not be refunded.
• All admission will be treated as provisional subject to the Registration or Approval of the University of Calcutta.
• Regarding all admissions, the decision of the College Authority will be final and no further queries will be entertained after the Admission process in closed.
• Bonafide SC/ST and candidates beloning to OBC-A and OBC-B will be considered for admission under Reserve Category as per Rules.
• Submission of Application Form for admission does not imply any right to admission in the course applied for.
